Obituary

Margaret Jean Bergloff, 85, Bismarck, died June 21, 2022, in Fargo, ND.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Bismarck, ND. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2022, from 5:00-6:00 PM at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 6:00 PM.

Margaret Bergloff was born in Bismarck on April 7, 1937.  She was raised and educated in Center, graduating from high school there in 1955.  On Jan. 14, 1960, she married Alfred “Bill” Bergloff, in Bismarck, where they had made their home and raised their six children.

Margaret was a coffee aficionado and a founding employee of Prairie Peddler, a store once known for its great coffees.  As social activities, she loved to play Bingo with her sisters and friends, and pinochle with whoever knew how to play.  Most of all, Margaret deeply loved her family, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She was always proud of their accomplishments and embraced them in their disappointments.  Margaret dedicated her life to providing the love and means for them to be successful.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Paula Bergloff  (Wayne McGrath), Fargo; Sandra (David) Mollner, Hawley, MN; Heidi (Benjamin) Berogan, West Fargo;  and Holly Bergloff  (Tomasz Zarzycki), West Fargo; and her sons Timothy Bergloff, Arlington, VA; and David (Marya) Bergloff, Holliston, MA;  grandchildren, Shane McGrath; Ezra Zarzycki; Peter, James, Christopher, Isabella and Eva Bergloff; Brynn, Ian, and Lir Berogan; Ivy (Logan) Brosseau; Kathy McGrath (Peter Hill), Karen McGrath (Tahir Awan); Donovin (Amy) Mollner, Britni (Jeff) Loeding; and great-grandchildren, Walker Brosseau, Ruby Hill , Zachary and Alex Mollner, and Sadia and Leena Awan; and her sister, Shirley Mosbrucker, Bismarck, in-laws Lawrence (Beverly) Bergloff, Beatrice Ottema, Julie Lipp, Lavigne Lipp and Louis Halvorson; and many special nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Alfred “Bill”, her parents, Nikodemus and Pauline Lipp; sisters Flora (Matt) Schmidt, Minnie (Bud) Rapsavage and Gloria Halvorson; and brothers Steve, Frank, and Raymond Lipp.
