Bev was born in Minot, ND, to Edward and Elsie (Hummel) Arndt and grew up in Bismarck. She went to Bismarck High School and attended Zion Lutheran Church.

She married Darwin Gorden on November 12th, 1965.  They made their home in Wilton, ND, where they started their family. They moved onto the Gorden family farm in March of 1974, which proved to be the perfect place for them to raise their children. Bev had a love for horses, she was a member of the Saddle Club and enjoyed riding with her family and friends.

She loved to go camping with her children, often joined by her parents and grandparents. There was always lots of fishing to be done! She loved gardening and canning, cooking and baking. She was well known by everyone for her pickles. She always had the family’s favorite meals ready when they came home from hunting and ice fishing. She was always anxiously awaiting their return so she could hear their stories. Obviously she was a huge fan of Nascar and Jeff Gordon, with an o! Lots of Saturday evenings and Sundays watching The Big Race.

She is survived by her husband, Darwin, son Jeff (Karen) Fargo ND, son Rick (Fargo ND) and daughter Cheryl. Grandchildren; Hunter, Sami and Levi.

She was predeceased by parents Edward and Elsie, infant brother, aunts, uncles and grandparents.

The family would like to extend a huge Thank You to all of the wonderful people from Hospice Sanford who came out and took care of Beverly.

In lieu of flowers please donate to St Jude.org.
