Englebert (Bert) Harsche , 88 of Bismarck passed away June 6th at Sanford Health Bismarck.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June. 15th, at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.

A visitation will take place on June 15th at 12:00 p.m. at the Amvets.

Bert was born Jan. 7th, 1934, the son of John and Tillie (Tischmack) Harsche.

Bert married Darlene (Mekosch) Harsche on June 1, 1957. In 1969 he opened the “Antique and Coin Exchange” in down town Bismarck which he later moved to the Kirkwood mall. In 1962 he founded the Capital city coin club. He had a love for gardening, antiques, coins, jewelry, and thrift store shopping. He loved sharing stories about his time in the war and visiting old friends. He was blessed with 6 daughters.

Bert is survived by his brothers and sisters; Mike (Florence), Dick (Madi), Marie (Jim), Dave (Deb), Lee (Lory); daughters, Laurie (Shorty) Jacobson, Bismarck, Victoria Harsche (Heath Wimer), Lincoln, Denise Timmons (Tony), Bismarck, Janine Harsche, Baldwin, and Barbara (Aaron) Carman, Northwood, Iowa, Bobbi (Daren) Anderson ; nine grandchildren Heather, Justin, Vogue, Shawn, Sarah, Josh, Corry, Nicole, and Alcia ; and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Tillie; his wife, Darlene; his sister, Claudia; a son-in-law, Terry Jacobson; and grandson, Jamie Schatz.
