Georgene was born April 23, 1951, to Harold and Beula (Grieger) Dale in Fargo, ND. She graduated from Mapleton High School in 1969. Next, she attended Dakota Business College in Fargo and worked at NDSU where she met her future husband, Dale. She married Dale Lantz on April 22, 1972, where they made their home in Fargo and eventually moved to Bismarck. Georgene worked at a variety of places over the years, but she mainly stayed home to take care of her two daughters. As they got older, she worked not only a full-time job, but a part time job as well. She was then able to give the greatest gift of all…two college tuitions to her girls with no student debt. She was always putting others first and teaching her girls the importance of being strong and independent. She eventually worked for several years at Sanford in the medical records department and retired in 2016.

Georgene enjoyed going to rummage sales to find hidden treasures like antiques, collected Coca Cola items for her one-of-a-kind kitchen, having wine nights with neighbors, bingo/karaoke outings with friends, lake weekends, and spending time with her family. She loved music and dancing with The Beach Boys being her all-time favorite group. She also enjoyed time with her five grandchildren and watching them in all their activities. She was so proud of all their accomplishments!

She is survived by her two daughters, Erica Lantz, Stewartville, MN and Reagan (Jason, her favorite son-in-law) Gagne, Minot, ND; five grandchildren, Grace, Elleigh, and Hayden Meyer and Olivia and Finn Gagne

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Dale and her parents.
