Kyle Steven Hammling, 59, of Bismarck, ND died at CHI St. Alexius, May 20, 2022.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 6:00 PM with a memorial service at 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 2 at Eastgate Funeral Home in Bismarck.
Kyle was born May 27, 1962 at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck, ND, the son of Eugene and Blanche Hammling. He graduated from Bismarck High School in 1980 and went on to study welding at Bismarck Junior College. He was employed for almost 40 years with Hobart Sales and Services of Bismarck. Kyle was proud of North Dakota and had many friends and acquaintances throughout the state. Born with the gift of gab, he loved a good story and had a great sense of humor. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting.
Surviving Kyle are his mother, Blanche Hammling of Bismarck; his sisters Corinne (Michael) Bell, of Alma, NE; and Michelle (James) Fitterer, of Bismarck; along with five nieces and nephews: Morgan Bell (Lincoln, NE), Monica Bell (Bismarck), Matthew (Abby) Bell (Grand Prairie, TX), Sarah Fitterer (Bismarck), and Ryan Fitterer (Bismarck).
Kyle was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Hammling.
He will be greatly missed, not only by his family, but also by his many friends including lifelong friends from childhood. Natalia Beal (San Francisco, CA) was also an important person in his life.
The family plans to give all monetary gifts in memory of Kyle to benefit North Dakota’s victims of traumatic brain injury.
