Julie was born to Richard and Darlene Nay on August 17, 1967, in Evanston, Wyoming. She was the third out of five children born into their loving family.

She graduated from Bowman High School, Bowman, ND, in May 1985 with her high school sweetheart, Paul Kriege.

Julie married the love of her life and soulmate, Paul Kriege on October 25, 1985, in Bowman.  Together they brought into the world three wonderful children.  Of all Julie’s gifts and talents, her life’s dream was to be a mom.

Anyone who knew Julie knew her love of Jesus. She lived as the Bible instructed her to do, “Live by faith not by sight.”  Next to her love of Jesus was her love of family. Her grandbabies were the light of her life.  They were her world, and she would light up when she saw them or talked about them.

Julie was active in Premier Designs Jewelry for 11 years.  She loved the values the company stood for and that they helped do God’s work here on Earth.  She met wonderful friends, shared many special moments, and had the opportunity to go on several memorable trips.

Julie loved spending time with her friends.  Many weekends and trips on their bike were had over the years.  She also loved her girl trips with her mom and sister, Linda.  Many late nights and laughs were common when they were together.

Paul and Julie worked and lived in Bowman until they moved to Dickinson in 1994.  Their next adventure took them to Beulah in 2004 where they raised their family.  When they had the opportunity to live closer to their kids and grandbabies in 2020, they jumped at the chance and moved to Mandan.  While her time there was brief, it was packed full of memories with her kids and grandbabies, fulfilling her life’s dream.

Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her husband, Paul; daughter, Brooke Claymore (Robin), Mandan; sons Todd Kriege (Rachel), Bismarck; and Casey Kriege (Kaylee), Mandan; grandbabies, JayLee and Elias (Brooke), Nash and Tate (Todd), and Theo and Lucy (Casey); her parents, Richard and Darlene Nay, Bowling Green, KY; mother-in-law, Alyce Kriege, Bismarck;  best friend and sister, Linda (Jim) House, Greenville, SC;  brothers, Wayne (Kendra) Nay, Tulsa, OK, Rick (Marcie) Nay, Skytook, OK, and Michael (Dawn) Nay, Boulder City, NV; sister-in-law, Jenn (Josh) Jeffers, Bismarck; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved and touched deeply.

Julie was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Ralph Kriege, Bismarck; maternal grandparents, Nicky and Laura Mogen, Froid, MT; paternal grandparents, Admiral (Dewey) and Katheryn Nay, Culbertson, MT.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Evangel Legacy Makers in her honor.
