Jeffrey “Jeff” Dressler

Jeff Dressler passed away peacefully at home with his wife, Deb (Hecker), at his side on May 8, 2022. He courageously fought many serious health conditions the last few years of his life, including cancer.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 13 at Christ the King, 505 10th Ave NW, Mandan.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. A prayer service will begin at 7:30 p.m.

He grew up in Bismarck with his sisters, Corgene and Pam, and brother, Enge. His parents, E. J. and Anna, enjoyed family life and inviting other extended family members to join in the fun, too. Many happy memories will remain.

Jeff worked in his Dad’s store (Buy Rite Food Center) at a young age, and continued there as the meat department manager until E. J. retired and sold the store. He also worked for Dan’s Supermarket in the same capacity, and as manager of N.D. Branded Beef. His last position was at Office & Technology in a different role he enjoyed.

He was an avid sportsman, excellent fisherman, hunter, and skiier, and also an athlete while in school. Jeff loved being outside with his fishing and hunting buddies, and his family. He enjoyed many years of living his dream, until he was only able to fish in his end years.

We also will remember Jeff as a caring husband, and wonderful father to our three children: Garrett Dressler, Bismarck; Wynn Dressler (Demeritt), husband Charlie, Florida; and Brittany Dressler (Saroufiem), husband Armeya, Minnesota.

Jeff absolutely loved being a grandfather to two – Zaiden and Maelie, and video chatting, and visiting them with Deb in Florida, Italy, and wherever Wynn was stationed while in the U.S. Air Force.

Many will remember Jeff as a humorous and thoughtful person who was not above playing pranks. He was close to his family, and to his special nephews who enjoyed outdoor hobbies and fun with him, and to his nieces too – always helpful and there for them with a smile.

We will all miss Jeff Dressler, who was a rock in many lives around him. He is now at peace, and pain free, with his family and friends, who went before him.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Engelhart (E.J.) and Anna (Job) Dressler; many aunts and uncles; some cousins; and special friends.
