Tyrel Larson

Tyrel Blaine Larson, 28 of Minot, died Thursday, April 21, 2022 at his Minot residence.

Tyrel was born the youngest child of Todd C. Larson and Dawn Christensen in Park River, ND on September 8, 1993. At the age of three, Tyrel’s family moved to Minot and this was primarily his home throughout the remainder of his life. Tyrel did attend School in Garrison, ND for his former years of education and later at the North Dakota Job Corp in Minot where he resided for a time; earned both his GED and High School Diploma and learned the welding trade.

Tyrel worked in the area as a welder for a time until he transitioned into the Diesel Mechanics trade under the wing of his older brother, Nicholias.  They worked for a time together at Precise Transport.  Ty learned the trade and embraced it fully figuring out this is what both boys were made to do.  This was the biggest bonding period keeping Ty on his game learning something new and loving every minute of it.  This brought the two of them closer than ever and gave them the best start at a fresh, new beginning.

Tyrel’s biggest joys in the world were his cats and his nieces and nephews, they both made his world go round.  Being an uncle was something that Tyrel did so well, he loved being around his nieces and nephews and lived to pick on them and get them all razzed up.  Tyrel would lighten up any room he entered as he loved to be a constant jokester and making people laugh and smile truly brought him so much happiness. Ty had quite the sense of humor and was a fun-loving individual who was a joy to be around.

Unfortunately, addiction had its grip on Tyrel and it was wearing him down.  Although Ty, like many others who have struggled with depression and addiction, sought help through treatment and through his friends and family, he was getting tired and that’s when the grip tightened on him even more and won.  Leaving his family with a great loss.  His memory will live on and hopefully encourage those who struggle as well to reach out and ask for help.

He will be truly missed by his family: mother, Dawn M. Christensen, Minot, ND, father, Todd C. (Marci) Larson, of Grand Junction, CO, siblings; Ashli Locken, and daughter, Makenna, of Minot, ND, Matya Larson, Kenmare, ND, and her children Razilyn, Kezdin, and Skylar,  Nicholias Larson, of Minot, ND and his children Talayna, Kazrina, and Teagyn, Brandy Peterson of Phoenix, AZ and her daughter Amylia Lacy, Nikki Johnson, Fargo, ND, Emily Johnson, Fargo, ND.  Grandfathers; Charles Larson, of Pensacola, FL, Daniel (Kathy) Christensen, of Ryder, ND, and Alan Borlaug, of Baxter, MN. Special Friend, McKenzie Sivertson, Minot, ND His 2 fur babies, his cats Kiki MeowMeow and Jenkins, along with numerous Aunts and Uncles, and several cousins that he truly adored.

He was preceded in death by his two grandmothers: Janice Larson and Carol Borlaug, his niece: Charlie Rae Ridl, cousin: Riley Dawn Christensen, and his beloved fur baby his cat Don Darro.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 30th at 2:00 pm at The Parker Center in downtown Minot, ND.
