Mary Edna Braunagel, 86, of Bismarck, passed away on April 20, 2022 at her home, by the side of her loving husband, Alvin. She went to be with her God peacefully in her sleep after a few weeks of hospice care.
She will be memorialized in a private Christian service, followed by burial at the Chaseley Cemetery in late Spring.
Mary was born on June 16, 1935 to Harold and Sybil Rhoads in Hurdsfield, ND. She is pre-deceased by her parents and siblings: Harold, Carmen and Luther.
On October 26, 1952, she married Alvin Braunagel of Chaseley, ND. During their near 70 years of devoted marriage they had five children: Carmela, Guynell, Bradley, Stephen and Stewart. Her family and friends knew her as a loving, loyal Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Mary and Alvin enjoyed a long retirement traveling the U.S and Europe, shuttling between homes in North Dakota and Texas, seeing family and friends along the way and making friends wherever they travelled and lived.
Mary leaves behind the love and adoration of her husband Alvin and her children: Carmela (Paul), Guynell (Lynn), Bradley (Joyce) and Stewart (Edwina), and will now join son Stephen in the hereafter. Her grandchildren (Nici, Breana, Joshua, Jessica, Jenna, Stephenie, Nicholas and Victoria,) and her great-grandchildren (Mikayla, Garret, Brextin, Holden, Scotlynn, Spencer, Harper, Hazel, Hudsyn, Boone, Scotlyn and Kacie) remember her lovingly.
