Richard “Rick” Fox, Jr., 60, Tioga, formerly Palermo, died Thursday, April 14, 2022 in a Minot hospital.

Richard Scott was born to Richard and Marjorie (Lill) Fox, Sr., in Grundy, Virginia on April 22, 1961. He attended elementary school at Perkett Elementary in Minot and attended high school in Palermo and Des Lacs where he graduated in 1980.

Rick went on to attend college in Wahpeton, ND, and returned to Palermo to work at Farmers Union Oil in Stanley. He then was employed by Randy Nichols doing custom combining for a few years until he gained employment with the North Dakota State Highway Department in Stanley, traveling to New Town and then Tioga. Later he worked for the R&T Water District Plant in Ray until his retirement.

Rick is survived by: his mother and step-father, Marjorie and Orlyn Lovelien; sisters, Darlene Oja and Charlene Glynnis Fox; step-mother, Iva Fox; brothers, Mike (Teresa) and Patrick; nieces, Jessica (Mike) Krout, Hope (Jeremiah) Trana, Erica (Cameron) McFarland, Cristin Fox, Jacqueline Hazen, Brittany Fox, and Kyra Fox. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Fox, Sr.; grandparents, Joseph and Marie Lill and Frank and Jessie Fox; brother-in-law, Melvin Oja; and uncles, James Bauley and James Lill.

Visitation:  Monday, April 25, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment:  Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery, Palermo, ND.
