David D. Burtts

David D. Burtts, 74, Bismarck, passed away on April 11, 2022.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck.

David was born in Bismarck on February 23, 1948. He graduated from Bismarck High School in 1966. Throughout his life, David owned and operated businesses relating to construction. He also managed the Covered Wagon Bar. Over the last several years, David worked in transportation. He drove people of all need levels across the state and sometimes out of state for medical appointments.

David always enjoyed hunting and was proud to teach his daughters how to shoot and hunt. He loved animals and had many pet dogs over the course of his life. David was also a coach and supporter of Golden Gloves Boxing.

David was known for answering his phone and greeting people with the phrase, “Good morning,” no matter what time of day.

He is survived by his daughters, Tammi (James) Winbauer, Sue Maxfield, and JoAnn (Val) Adler; grandchildren, Katie (Deon Paulson) Winbauer, Kenneth Winbauer, Khloe Winbauer, Wyatt Jacobson, Tyler Jacobson, Madison Maxfield, and Hudson Adler; great-granddaughter, Adalia Jacobson; siblings, Shirley Van Hout and James Burtts; and his friend, Joycelyn Noakes.
