Casper “Junior” Kraft, 73, of Bismarck, succumbed to cancer on March 16, 2022. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22 at Church of St. Mary, 806 E Broadway, Bismarck. A service livestream will be available on the funeral home’s website.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. A rosary/vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. Visitation will also continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.

Junior was born in Bismarck on January 12, 1949. He was raised and educated near Solen, graduating from Solen High School before being drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star, and the Air Medal.

He returned to Bismarck and married Sandy Kraft. From this union came two boys, Scott and Steven Kraft. He worked at John Deere and went on to be self-employed as an over-the-road truck driver for over 30 years. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to others.

Junior is survived by his wife, Sandy Kraft; son, Steven Kraft; grandson, Carter Theurer; sisters, Renee (the late, Roy) Small and Susanna (Richard) Lindteigen; and brother, Leland (Debbie) Kraft; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Kraft; and his parents, Casper and Lillian Kraft.
