Vera Henrichs, 95, Minot and formerly of Douglas and Surrey died on Sunday, March 20, 2022 in a Minot home care facility.

Vera Freeda was born on November 10, 1926 on the family farm near Douglas, ND to Eugene and Bertha (Lubben) Plaisance. She was raised on the family farm, educated in rural schools and graduated from Douglas High School in 1944. As a young adult she moved, with her twin sister, to Minot. 

Vera married Roland Henrichs on August 9, 1946 in Douglas. They made their home in Minot prior to moving to Surrey for twelve years. Roland died in 1959. Following her husband’s death, she returned to Minot to raise her three children and was employed for twelve years as a florist at Valker Floral. Later, she managed Minot Floral for an additional twenty-four years. Following her retirement, she had continued to reside in Minot at her longtime home on 20th Street N.W., and most recently at ProHealth Home Care.

Vera especially enjoyed knitting, sewing, yard work and reading.

Vera’s loving family includes her children: Linda Delakas of Collingswood, NJ; William (Carleen) Henrichs of Horace and Steve Henrichs of Minot; grandchildren: Wayne Jr. and Debra and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin sister: Viviane Jundt and sister: Dorothy Hagen, brother: Delvin Plaisance and son-in-law: Wayne Delakas.

Celebration of the Life of Vera Henrichs: Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will be in Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Visitation: Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.
