Bernice Lucile Larsen, 95, Minot, ND and Mt Pleasant, Iowa, died Saturday, March 12, 2022, in New London Speciality Care Center.

Bernice was born on August 24, 1926, in Glendive, MT, the daughter of Arthur and Hulda Rose (Johanson) Parker. She was raised and educated in Glendive, MT and graduated from Dawson County High School in 1943. She attended Billings Business College before being employed in the secretarial field. She enrolled in Concordia Lutheran College in 1946 and moved to California in 1948, where she was employed at Forest Lawn Insurance Company.

Bernice was united in marriage to Richard Larsen on May 18, 1952, in Dickinson, ND. They moved to Bismarck for 6 years where she was employed at Standard Oil until moving to Minot in 1958. She was then employed as a legal secretary to Ella Van Berkom until her passing in March of 1994. She continued as a secretary freelancing with Minot area attorneys.

Bernice was a member of First Lutheran Church, Minot where she served as Deaconess of the Archives and held various other positions within the church. She was past president of the First Lutheran Church Women. She especially enjoyed quilting, gardening, sewing, and playing the piano, her dogs and her family.

Bernice’s loving family includes her children, Richard Alan Larsen (Brenda Taege) Scottsdale, AZ and Valerie Gulseth (Rick) Bonser, Mt. Pleasant, IA; grandchildren, Casey Pollmeier, Erin (Stanley) Stevens, Colin Larsen, and Danielle (Logan) Boltz; and 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and in-laws, Jennie Just Lightfoot, Knoxville, IA and Annie (Dick) Buell, St. Helens, OR along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, brothers, Gail Parker, Kermit Parker, and Brothers-In-Laws Walter Larsen, Melvin Larsen, Laurence Larsen and Gus Lightfoot.

Celebration of Life Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022, at First Lutheran Church, Minot. A livestream of the service will be available by accessing www.firstlutheran.tv
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Friday, March 25, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church, Minot.
