Elaine Juen (Moos) Lennick, 85, Bismarck, went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2022.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 11, at Calvary Free Lutheran Church, 417 S. Anderson St, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, March 10, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck and will continue an hour before service. Interment will be held at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
Elaine was born on June 2, 1936, in Bluegrass ND to Benjamin and Johanna (Albrecht) Moos. She attended school in New Salem & graduated from Glen Ullin High School. Elaine married Milton Lennick on August 8, 1954.
Elaine began playing the piano for choirs & church as a young girl and continued until the end of her life. She was the pianist for the Bis-Man Gospel Singers for 70 years. Elaine was a wonderful cook and shared this talent working as a cook in the public school system for many years. Her gift of hospitality blessed many friends & family with home cooked German meals, fresh baked bread or something sweet to serve with coffee.
Elaine loved to praise & worship her Lord & Savior through music and prayer. She will always be remembered as a powerful prayer warrior, faithfully & continually interceding for those she loved—family, friends, children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She never became too old to get down on the floor and play with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to cook and bake with them.
Elaine is survived by her children; Cindy (Gaylord) Kavlie, Bonnie (Steve) Kness, Kim (Alison) Lennick, & Donna (Steve) Broten; grandchildren—Lisa (Greg) Cagle, Lucas (Kerry) Kavlie, Laura (Jon) Lohse, Landon (Laura) Kavlie, Tonya (Ryan) Bowers, Colin Kennedy, Brent (Chloe) Kennedy, Bryan & Kyle Kennedy, Michael & Jennifer Kness, Kristi (Kyle) Joritz, Aimee (Andy) Ault, Sean (Sarah) Lennick, Rachel & Jacob Lennick, Ben, Angela & Erica Broten, and Katrina (Levi) Post; great-grandchildren—Ciara, Joslynn & Jordan Cagle, Joshua & Rachel Kavlie, Abby & Fred Lohse, Brad, Wes & Trevor Kavlie, Railey (Griffin) Kees, Nolan Speck, Everett & Cameron Kennedy, Greyson & Oaklynn Joritz, Elijah Ault, Kaebry Lennick, and Thalia Post.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milt Lennick; her parents; sisters and brothers.
