Obituary
Patricia “Patty” Ann Moos, age 80, of Mandan passed away March 2, 2022. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are pending with Buehler-Larson Funeral Home.
Patty was born February 27, 1942, in Zeeland, North Dakota to Ervin and Marie (Just) Moos. She was the oldest of six children. She graduated from Zeeland High School in 1960. She received her secondary education from Ellendale State Teachers College and Mary College. Patty was an elementary teacher in Mandan for more than 36 years, retiring in 2000. She said it was time to retire when she had the third generation of students in her classes.
Patty enjoyed reading, puzzles, gardening, canning (her pickled watermelon was the best!), and collecting antiques. She served as a “grandma” to her nieces and nephews and made sure they got just the right amount of spoiling. When she retired, Patty assisted others, including her nieces and nephews, helping her siblings, and serving as a “taxi” to those who needed help. She always put the needs of others above her own.
Patty is survived by sisters, Karen (Les Helm) and Jill Beck (Ron); brothers, Doug, Dean, and Joel; and nieces and nephews, Audra Moos, Jeff Moos, Rebecca Jayakumar, Casey Beck, and Chloe Beck.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Marie Moos.
