Eunice L. Modin, Bismarck, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Feb. 15, 2022, at Edgewood Assisted Living Center, Bismarck. A memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. Family will greet visitors one hour prior to the service. A service livestream will be available on the funeral home’s website.

Eunice will be laid to rest next to her parents in the Spring at Rosehill Cemetery, Minot.

Eunice was born on May 27, 1955, in Kenmare. At the age of 10, she moved with her family to Minot. In 1972, she made her choice to serve God. After graduating from NDSU, Fargo, she taught two years in Taylor. She entered the ministry in 1979 until 1997. Eunice then returned to Minot to care for her mother’s health. Due to her own declining health, she was unable to continue in the ministry.

She relocated to the Bismarck-Mandan area where she taught part-time and cared for the elderly. In September 2020, Eunice was diagnosed with cancer.

She is survived by her five brothers, Robert (Pam) Modin, Fargo, Larry Modin, Palm Springs, Calif., Gene Modin, Bismarck, Roland Modin, Minot, and Gaylord (Mary Kay) Modin, Bismarck; two nephews and one niece, Chad Modin, Campbellsville, Ky., Derek Modin, Bloomington, Tex., Jacqueline Dunbar, Bridgeport, W.V.; two great-nephews, Bian and Zorian Dunbar, Bridgeport, W.V.; and many cousins.

Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Ruth Modin.
