Jacklyn “Jackie” A. Pfliger, 81, of Bismarck, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 29, 2022.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Bismarck Funeral Home.  A Livestream of the Service will be available on the Bismarck Funeral Home Facebook page. Family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service.

Jackie was born on November 9, 1940 on the farm in McClusky, ND to Walter and Alma (Braunberger) Bauer.  She graduated from McClusky High School and married Gerald Kluck in 1958.  She was united in marriage with Raymond E. Pfliger on May 9, 1981.

Jackie worked in the office at the Bismarck Hospital from 1959 to 1968; then she worked for Frank J. Bavendick, Petroleum Landman from 1968-1992; and for the Legislative Council from 1992 to her retirement in 2004.  She also returned for Legislative sessions in 2007, 2009, and 2011.

Jackie enjoyed reading, but her favorite hobby was quilting.  She also loved decorating for the seasons, especially Christmas.  She also loved spending time with family and friends.

Jackie is survived by one daughter, Cynthia A. Kluck, of Bismarck; one son, Bruce J. (Julie) Kluck of Bismarck; two step daughters, Jennelle (Michael) Brown of Utah and Joleen (Ray) Snyder of Washington; one step son, Dean Pfliger of Washington; sister-in-law, Regina Bauer of Austin MN; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; her parents, Alma and Walter; her brother, Walter E. Bauer of Austin, MN; and her sister, Janice (Warren) Syverson of Valley City, ND.

The family requests memorials be sent to the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, 1825 46th St, Mandan, ND 58554; or the Masonic Temple 1009 Basin Ave, Bismarck, ND 58504.
