Maryland Sue Bennett Horn

Maryland Sue Bennett Horn age 63 made her journey to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday January 16, 2022.

Maryland was born on May 6, 1958, in Huntington West Virginia to Russell Eugene Bennett and Mary Katherine Barriere. Maryland attended Fairland Highschool in Proctorville Ohio before moving to Minot N.D. where she lived most of her life. Maryland married Tracy Horn on July 5, 1980, in Minot N.D. from this marriage they had a daughter Tammy Horn and Maryland gained three stepchildren Crystal, Gina, and Daniel.

Maryland enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved going on yearly trips to see her family in Ohio. Maryland also enjoyed going to Sturgis yearly with friends having fun dancing and listening to great music bands. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Maryland was a great cake decorator. She made cakes for all her children’s and grandchildren birthdays and special events. She enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends.

Maryland has been in the Service Industry for most of her life. The last 10 years Maryland worked with her daughter at their home as a Daycare Provider.

Maryland was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Proctorville Ohio. She had a strong faith while fighting her battle. She looked forward to church on Sunday every week. It also made her happy to attend because she could see her sister.

Maryland was proceeded in death by her parents Russell Eugene and Mary Katherine Bennett and her baby sister Jane Russell.

Maryland is survived by her daughter Tammy (Gabriel) Good, her stepchildren Crystal (Scott) Schmidt, Gina (Rick Bartsch) Horn, Daniel Horn. Grandchildren Devin, Andres, Marianna Good, Shawna Flom, Breanna Horn, Brenden Horn, Caden, Josie, and Jaxon Horn. Great grandchildren Peyton, Gage, and Cooper Flom, Greyson, and Easton Dunn.

Her siblings Coral Anderson, Russell Bennett Jr. (Dora), Michael Bennett (Kamela), Pamela Taylor (Bobby), David Bennett, Ruth Rooker (Dan), and Jeff Bennett (Kelli) all from Proctorville, Chesapeake, and South Point Ohio.

Maryland is also survived by her extended family the McKinney’s and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and Friends.

Memorial Service: Monday, January 24, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Visitation is one hour prior to the start of the service in the funeral home.
