Rose Ohlhauser, 79, Bismarck, passed away April 17, 2021. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 24 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck.
Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.
Rose was born on October 29, 1941, the daughter of George and Margaret (Glum) Moffit.
She grew up in the Glencoe area, where she attended school in a two-room schoolhouse. Rose also attended Linton High School. She last worked for ISI of Bismarck, where she worked for years until her retirement.
Rose married Maynard Ohlhauser and had two daughters, DeNell and Shawnda, and later divorced. Rose lived in Bismarck where she raised the girls and enjoyed many things together.
DeNell married Tod Hamel and Shawnda married Scott Hausauer and blessed Rose with three grandchildren: Tasha, Ashley and Dillan Hausauer.
Rose loved spending weekends together, playing games, cards and going for walks. The most special time was making Christmas cut-out cookies and decorating them as well as getting together for all holidays.
Those fortunate to have shared her life are her two daughters, DeNell (Tod) Hamel and Shawnda (Scott) Hausauer; grandchildren, Tasha, Ashley and Dillan Hausauer; two brothers and six sisters, Ronnie (Linda) Moffit, Lincoln, Ray Moffit and Nancy Moffit, Bismarck, Irene Reather, Portland, Oreg., Shirley Lave, Billings, Mont., Jean (Richard) Austad, Fairfield, Mont., Betty Grage, Hawarden, Iowa, and Marcella Moffit, Rolla; sister-in-law, Donna Moffit, Bismarck; and many nieces and nephews.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Doug Moffit and Lee Moffit; sisters, Jackie DeWald, Susan Manson, Gladys Engebretson and Donna Houle.
