Freeman Crawford, 68, Hazen passed away peacefully on December 11, 2021, at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck with his loving family surrounding him. Private family services will be held at Thompson Funeral Home in Garrison. Burial will be held at the Garrison City Cemetery.
Freeman was born December 6, 1953, to Freeman and Gladys (Peterson) Crawford in Garrison, ND. He was raised on the family farm near Emmet, ND. He married Susie (Hintz) Crawford and had three children, Jay (Tracee), Yvette (Eric), and Tyrel.
Freeman and Susie worked the family farm for several years before moving on to working construction, siding and roofing. He loved to farm, ride horse and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed gardening, hunting, visiting, and having a beer with family and friends.
Freeman is survived by his wife Susie, sons, Jay (Tracee) Crawford and Tyrel Crawford; daughter, Yvette Crawford (Eric Kramer); grandchildren, Felicia Crawford (Ricky), Levin Crawford, Zac Gray, Tyler Crawford (Alicia), Cody Crawford, Kris Crawford, Emma Kjos (Luke), Trent Crawford, Trey Crawford; great grandchildren, Noah, Finn, and Rayne; his sister, Mavis Beauchamp; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by is parents, Freeman and Gladys Crawford, and his sisters, Marly Engel and Myrna Hintz.
