Obituary
Renee (Matz) Belden, 70, Mandan, passed away December 9, 2021, at Sanford Health, Bismarck.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Todd Kreitinger as celebrant. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 7:00 PM.
Renee was born February 15, 1951, to Mike and Kathryn (Balkowitsch) Matz. She grew up in Mandan. On December 5, 1969, she was united in marriage to Dale Belden. They were blessed with two children, Terry and Tammy, who Renee loved more than anything. They recently celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary.
Renee worked numerous jobs, most recently at Menards, until she was diagnosed with leukemia. Renee loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Deadwood, Yellowstone, and Glacier National Park, just to name a few. Renee had a love of animals and always had dogs as part of the family. She also adopted a stray cat that has become a huge part of the family.
Blessed to have shared in her life is her husband, Dale Belden, Mandan; children, Terry Belden and Tammy (Randy) Zimmerman; fur babies, Scout, Dusty, and Kitty; grand fur babies, Whyskie and Rye; numerous brother and sister-in-laws; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Renee was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Doug Matz; in-laws, Don and Polly Belden; and numerous other family members.
