Obituary
Walter L. Moos, 91, formerly of New Salem, ND passed from this earth on November 30th, 2021. A graveside family service will be held on Monday, December 6th at 1:00 at the Glen Ullin City Cemetery. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
Walter was born on August 28th, 1930 to Benjamin and Johanna Moos of rural New Salem. He married Betty Becher in 1959. Together they farmed northwest of New Salem, where they raised 3 children. Walter enjoyed raising and working with horses, particularly Percheron draft horses.
Walter is survived by his daughters; Annette Moos (Jason Krantz) of Mandan, and Laurie (Kyle) Kirchmeier also of Mandan; and son Troy (Tina) Moos of New Salem; sister Elaine Lennick of Bismarck; grandchildren Jarrod, Jessi, Garrett and Austin; 3 great grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Walter in death are his wife Betty; his parents; brothers Alvin Moos (Freida) of rural Beulah; Edward Moos (Eleanor) of Mandan; and Albrecht Moos (infant); and sisters Agnes Moos of rural New Salem; Edna Sprunk (Glen) of Enderlin; Ella Heinle (Reuben) of Glen Ullin; Ina Gackle (Harold) of Plentywood, Mt; brother in law Milton Lennick, and nephew Norbert Moos.
