Michelle Monique Gullickson/Loans Arrow


It is with great sadness that the family of Michelle Monique Gullickson/Loans Arrow announce her passing on Oct 21, 2021.

A celebration of Michelle’s life and the love her family had for her is planned for November 12th at Weigel Funeral Home, 309 4th Ave NW, Mandan ND 58554. Visitation starting at 9:30 AM and services beginning at 10:30 AM.

Michelle was born August 31st, 1970. She grew up in Breien, North Dakota and was just 51 years old. Michelle was adopted into our family at a very young age. She was the bonus sister we didn’t know we needed. Her inquisitive mind, her contagious laughter and willingness to see good in everything and everyone will be truly missed.

Michelle attended schools in Solen and Flasher ND. Graduating from Flasher High School  in 1988.

She then attended Bismarck State College.  The summer of 1990, Michelle moved to New Mexico to become a nanny. The family later moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where Michelle joined the Police Academy, graduating in 1994.

Michelle worked for the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department and the Norcross Police Department, which is where she received multiple commendations for her accomplishments.  It was also at Norcross where she became a CID Detective.

In 2006, Michelle met Caleb Smith and together they started a construction company.

By 2008, the couple decided to move to Alaska, where their son Chaska was born. Michelle was able to stay home for the 1st 6 years of his life, time she so treasured.

Before her passing, Michelle ran her own business, cleaning rental properties in Kenai and on the peninsula in Alaska.

Michelle loved helping people. She loved music and taking photos. She also made the best blueberry cheesecake.

Michelle had a kind heart and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Michelle is preceded in death by Vivian Gullickson, Dale Gullickson, Randy Gullickson, Ernie Kronberger ,  Mayme Red Tomahawk/ Kronberger and Sandy Kraft.

Those left to cherish her memories are, Chaska Smith, Caleb Smith, Diane Dominguez, Robert Smith, Dean Gullickson (Susan), Don Gullickson (Joyce), Debbie Gullickson, Eileen Gullickson (Tim), Faye Richter (Todd), Lynn Jundt (Mike), Casey Kronberger, Thomasine Loans Arrow, Corrine Kopp,  Marcy Kopp, Clarence Carry Moccasin, Kristen Loans Arrow, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition Michelle had a family of close loving friends, Johnelle Leingang and Rhonda Kraft, who will feel her loss terribly.

We will always carry her memories in our hearts.
