Obituary

Anna Auch, 99, passed away on October 30, 2021 at Sanford hospital in Bismarck.

A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, Nov. 4th at the Mandan United Methodist Church with Pastor Bruce Adams officiating.  Burial will follow in Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday at Weigel Funeral Home in Mandan followed by a 7:00 PM Remembrance Service.

Anna was born on August 27, 1922 to Joseph and Emilia (Hintz) Seidler in Elgin, ND.

She married Bennie Auch on May 18, 1945 and they were married for 61 years. They went on to have six children: Ruben, Garrie, Dennis, David, Betty, and Gene.

Anna was a homemaker most of her life. No one left her home hungry as she was a great cook. Her German dishes filled many bellies, and she was always ready to teach others how to make them. Anna was the go-to person to ask about cooking, canning, or sewing. She made many outfits for her family and friends or did repairs.

Anna was a faithful member of the Mandan United Methodist Church. She was also an avid reader of the Daily Bread devotions. Her faith was a daily staple that guided her.

Anna is survived by her children, Ruben (Pat) Auch of Wishek, Garrie (Karen) Auch of Mandan, Dennis (Jirapat) Auch of Mandan, David (Mary Chaves) Auch of Mandan, Betty (Fred) Ermey of   Yakima, WA, Gene (Tracy) Auch of Elk Heart Lake, WI; sisters, Darlene Berke of Yakima, WA, Linda Heinle of Hebron, ND; brother, Harry Siedler of Arlington, WA; 25 grandchildren; 54   great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Auch; parents, Joseph and Emilia Seidler; sister, Ida Mindt; brothers, Gottileb and Jake Seidler; and grandson, Rodney Auch.
