Sharon Ann Marsden, 74, Minot, died Saturday, October 16, 2021, in a Minot hospital.

Sharon was born August 20, 1947, in Dickinson, ND to Mike and Marianna (Klein) Berger. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Elementary School and was the first class to graduate from Trinity High School in 1965.  She later continued her education at both Dickinson State University and Minot State University.

Sharon married Allan Marsden on October 31, 1970, in Dickinson, ND at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. They followed Allan’s military career from Germany to Washington, DC before finally returning to settle in Minot in 1980.  They welcomed their son Scott into their lives in 1984. She was a dedicated civil service employee for 37 years before retiring in January 2011. Her dear husband, Allan, recently passed away September 30, 2021.

Sharon was an active member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Minot.  She loved crafts, especially cross stitch, quilting, and crochet. Every summer she could be found fishing for walleye on Lake Sakakawea or on Canadian fishing adventures with her family. She loved to travel with her husband, often driving for weeks to visit friends and family all across the United States. She had a real talent for baking – everything from apple butter to apple and chocolate pies. She loved putting together jigsaw puzzles, was a master at Sudoku, and an excellent pinochle player. She will be remembered for her loving nature and sense of humor.

Sharon is survived by son Scott of Cincinnati, OH; siblings including Sister Mary Jane Berger O.S.B., Allen (Jeannette) Berger, Robert (Gloria) Berger and Richard (Julie) Berger; brother-in-law Paul (Jill) Marsden and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father, mother, and husband, Allan.
