Rosalyn Jenner

Rosalyn (Rosie) Elaine Jenner, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother joined her parents Einar and Alice (Halverson) Tennyson in her forever home on Monday, October 4, 2021.

Rosie, the only child of Einar and Alice, was born on June 7, 1935, in Grand Forks, ND. She was raised on the Tennyson homestead in rural Antler, attending Sherman School and graduating as a Yellowjacket from Mohall High School in May 1953. She was united in marriage at the Bethel Lutheran parsonage, to Duane Jenner on October 4, 1953. They made their home in the “little house” on the family farm and over the next 4 years they had 3 children, one girl (Ramona) and 2 boys (Doyle, Gregory). They purchased the farm in 1968 and were actively involved in farming until moving to Minot in 1993. Rosie was an active member of the Bethel Lutheran Church and Willing Workers Ladies’ Aid while working on the family farm.

Rosie enjoyed music, flowers, gardening, and family game nights. She loved nature and her time spent at Lake Metigoshe watching family and friends enjoy various water activities. She was an animal lover and had numerous special pets that were very dear to her heart. She loved making and sewing things for her children and grandchildren as well as watching them grow.

Rosie was very proud of her Norwegian heritage and could be seen yearly enjoying the many activities of the Norsk Hostfest with family and friends. Food, music, crafts, and laughter filled the many days she attended.

Painting, ceramics, cooking classes, theater and music events filled many winters in Mesa, Arizona. You could find Duane and Rosie many weekends shopping at the mega flea markets looking for a hidden gem. Many of her handmade arts and crafts can be found in their home and the homes of loved ones.

Rosie is survived by her husband Duane; her daughter Ramona (Wes) Arneson, and two sons Doyle Jenner and Gregory Jenner, Minot; Grandchildren: Matthew Jenner, Amy (Jerry) Peick, Jessica (Torrey) Dickinson, Charissa Arneson, Theodore Arneson, Alexis Jenner, Lindsey Jenner; Great Grandchildren: Tessa (Daniel), Casey, Christopher, Nikolas, Aden, Brooklynn, Iszabella.
