Dorraine Evone Lemon, 86, Minot, died Thursday, September 16, 2021, in a Minot Assisted Living Center.

Dorraine was born April 30, 1935, at Eagle Bend, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Freida (Hertwig) Jahnke. She was raised and educated in Eagle Bend until her family moved throughout Minnesota. They settled in Park Rapids, MN, where she graduated from High School in 1953.

Dorraine was united in marriage to Ray Lemon on June 20, 1953, in Ponsford, MN. They made their home in Minot, where along with raising their four children, she was employed with Kmart for several years, while Ray was employed with Burlington Northern Railroad. He died April 15, 2005. In 2018, Dorraine made Elmcroft Assisted Living Center her home.

Dorraine was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Minot.  She enjoyed reading, puzzles, traveling, word games and tending to her garden, especially flowers.

Her loving family includes children, Larry (Marietta) Lemon, Minot,  Lisa (Ron Bennett) Nelson, Palmdale, CA, Lorri (Allen) Martin, Drake, ND and son-in-law, Wayne Dutenhafer, Minot; grandchildren Chad (Heather), Lance (Jennifer), Craig (Miranda), Casey, Alicia (Chad), Emily (Dalton), Autum, Alexis, Stephen (Mykal), Brock, Mike, Carrie (Jory), Amanda (Bruce), Hannah, Logan, and Garrett; great grandchildren Jace, Brody, Chloe, Jersey, Shiloh, Max, Logan, Tyler, Brenna & Peyton; sister, Betty Stauffenecker, Babbott, MN and sister-in-law, Barbara Jahnke, Bradenton, FL; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 52 years, Ray; daughter, Linda Dutenhafer; sisters, Diane McCalister, Arlene Gjerstad, Arvella Wallenberg and brother, Chet Jahnke.

Celebration of Life service: Monday, September 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot

Visitation: At her request, there will not be a viewing, however friends may sign the memorial register book on Sunday, September 19th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
