Jean Mary (Tibor) Raaf, resident of Pomeroy, WA, passed away August 22, 2021. The daughter of Victor and Ann (Conlon) Tibor, she was born January 18, 1958 in Dickinson, ND. She was the youngest of five children.

Jean grew up on the family farm South of Hebron, graduating in 1976, and marrying Allen Raaf June 5 of that same year. They lived in North Dakota until moving to Pomeroy, Washington in 1989. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Pomeroy.

Who was Jean Raaf? How do you put a Wife, Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Neighbor, and Friend into a mere collection of words? She was a lady whose heart, home, and smile was always open and available to everyone. Even friends of her children knew that they could stop and visit, and perhaps get a bite of food even when her own kids were not there at the time. There was always plenty of food, laughter, smiles, and hugs for all. She enjoyed crafting, working on photo albums, and old collecting old treasures. She really enjoyed watching and attending the PBR Bull Riding, as well as watching the Oregon Ducks football on Saturday – Go Ducks! Her greatest joy, though, was spending time with her husband Allen, her kids, grandkids, friends, and family.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Ann Tibor; in-laws, Alvin and Gladys Raaf; and an uncle and step-dad, Paul Tibor.

She is survived by her husband, Allen Raaf; son, Clint; son, Dustin (Heather), and their children, Angel and Annalise; daughter, Jessica (Oscar), and their children, Ethan, Raiden, and Pharoah. She is also survived by her brothers, Jim (Linda) Tibor, Denis (Sarah) Tibor, Robert (Janet) Tibor, Terry (Kisanna) Tibor; and brother-in-law, Jim (Patty) Raaf. There are also many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and all the kids and people she loved as her own children, all of which made up her large and greatly loved treasure of friends. She truly loved each and every one.
