Gloria was born in Mandan Hospital on December 16, 1951, to Walter and Mary Charvat. When she was 17, she married Glenn C. Heidinger in Bismarck. Gloria worked many jobs in her life, but it seemed as though she was always providing aid to someone which eventually led to the job, she loved the most, being a caregiver for the elderly. Her clients were fond of her as it was obvious that she had compassion and applied it in her work.
