Obituary
Audrey Wangler, 68, Mandan passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at her home in Mandan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 on Tuesday, August 24 at Spirit of Life Catholic Church in Mandan with Fr. Todd Kreitinger celebrating. Burial will be at 1:30 PM at Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, August 23 from 5-7 PM at Weigel Funeral Home in Mandan with a Rosary and Parish Vigil beginning at 7:00. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the church.
Audrey was born July 18, 1953 to Herbert and Opal (Harrison) Renken in Mandan. She grew up in Frieda, ND and graduated from Flasher High School. She married Ervin Kuntz in 1974 until his passing in 1983. On November 16, 1986 she married Gary Wangler and the two made their home in Mandan.
Audrey’s most precious time was spent with family, holiday times including Christmas Bingo and decorating the tree were favorites. She enjoyed camping, karaoke, and dancing to some her favorites; Vince Gill, Michael Jackson and Dwight Yoakam. She also enjoyed going to rummage sales, her dogs and horses. Some of her favorite treats were chocolate covered cherries and Butterfingers. She loved all kinds of flowers and even creepy sci-fi movies!
Audrey will be deeply missed by her husband, Gary, Mandan, daughter, Salina David, Mandan, mother, Opal Renken, grandchildren: Kaylee Becker, Jamon David, Alyssa David and Torance Corley; her sisters: Joyce (Gary) Chadwick, Mandan and Carol (Brian) Knapp, Bismarck and a brother, Ryan (Denise) Renken along with numerous nieces, nephews and brother and sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ervin Kuntz, father, Herbert Renken along with numerous aunts and uncles.
