Todd W. Hunter, 60, Minot, died Wednesday, August 4, 2021, in his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Todd Ward Hunter was born February 21, 1961, in Minot, ND the son of John ‘Jack’ and Violet (Vedvig) Hunter. He was raised in Minot and attended Minot Public Schools graduating in 1979.
Todd worked alongside his family in the operation of the Green Thumb Greenhouse enjoying many growing seasons.
Todd was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church and after the flood became a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Minot. Todd lived life to the fullest. He treasured daily walks with his dog, Megan. He enjoyed working in his yard, had many beautiful plants and loved to watch and feed his birds.
Todd cared more about other people than himself and deeply valued visits with people. He always had treats for his great nieces and nephews whenever they came to visit. Todd’s favorite vacations were traveling west to visit relatives.
A special thank you from our family to Trinity Home Health and Hospice for their personal and loving care and all those who provided pastoral care for Todd. He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to share in his life.
Todd’s loving family includes his brothers Terry (Kathy) Hunter, Tim (Deborah) Hunter, Tom (Debra) Hunter, Tracy (Kim) Hunter; sister Tamera (Chuck) Haseleu; nieces and nephews Kelsey (Matt) Meredith, Anna (Ryan) Schneider, Devin Hunter, Kyle Hunter, Kellen (Amber) Hunter, Nathan Berry, Calvin (Ashley) Berry and Heather (Colton) Anderson; uncle Jerry Hunter along with numerous great nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Todd was preceded in death by his parents, Violet and Jack Hunter and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2021 at Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Celebration of Todd’s Life: Friday, August 13, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Green Thumb Greenhouse located at 4605 County Road 15 West, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Souris Valley Animal Shelter of Minot.
