Jamie Scott, the most adventurous, amazing, and loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, left the world suddenly in an ATV accident on August 1, 2021, at the tender age of 42.

Services to celebrate Jamie’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Evangel Church, Bismarck.  A Livestream of the Service will be available on the Bismarck Funeral Home Facebook page.

Jamie was born to Susan Scott and Eldon Scott on March 3, 1979, at 3:13 am. After graduating from high school, Jamie started his career, where he would spend 20 years, with the City of Mandan. He truly loved his job.

In 1999, Jamie met Colleen at the local car wash, which is ironic considering they then spent their lives cleaning their cars together like the clean freaks they were. After three months of dating, Jamie and Colleen got engaged, had kids, then were married. Although it seemed unconventional to some, they were the definition of true soulmates and they both knew it. Jamie never let Colleen forget that she was the love of his life.

On September 26, 2001, Kadin was born, and Jaxon followed on November 4, 2003. Kadin and Jaxon truly adored their dad. Jamie was the best coach, teacher, and role model they could ever ask for. Jamie was always so proud of his boys and beamed whenever talking about them.

Jamie and Colleen did everything together and loved every single second. Their love for each other and traveling was passed onto their children. They all enjoyed every opportunity to travel, snowmobile, side by side, or simply appreciate each other’s company.

Jamie had a passion for anything with a motor. Derby cars, motorcycles, side by sides, and most of all, snowmobiles. His mountain riding skills were typically always on the edge; however, in Jamie’s world, there was always a special bond with his snowmobiling buddies. He has often said, “some people you can trust with your life” and those that trusted him will miss him dearly.

Jamie is survived by his wife, Colleen; children Kadin and Jaxon; mom Susan (Zentner) Scott; dad Eldon Scott; sister Amy (Travis) Olson; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by grandparents Innozent and Eva Zentner and Hugh and Anastasia Scott.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scott Family Fund at Capital Credit Union.
