Dellana Mishell Ward was born in Lawrence, KS on March 13, 1980 to Lisa Felix and Mike Ward. She grew up in Parshall, ND where she often led her cousins and friends on many adventures.  Dellana was very outgoing. She loved to run when she was younger and was on her high school track team. She graduated from White Shield Alternative High School in 1997. Then attended FBCC for the Carpentry trade certificate.

Dellana loved music of all kinds, drawing, beading and anything creative. She often saw the beauty in ordinary things and loved to make old things new again. She loved to go to pow-wows to camp and spend time with family. She also made it a point to watch her brother Vincent when he was in the arena.

Dellana was a jack of all trades and wanted to know how everything worked. Dellana could work on anything from cars to dishwashers and was self-taught. She loved to mow the lawn and would do so after getting ready for the day in fresh white clothes.

Due to the passing of her mother in August of 1994, Dellana met her adopted mothers Jera Grady and Paula Bear whom she loved very much.

Dellana had her first-born son Dallas Howling Wolf with Ralph Howling Wolf on February 8th 2001 at MedCenter one in Minot ND. She was so happy to have her son and she did not hesitate to share her birth video with people including her younger cousins as a form of birth control.

Dellana had her second son Jamison Lafontaine on July 1st, 2005 and she finally had her daughter Amyah Lafontaine on June 12th, 2009. Dellana loved all of her children more then she could ever express. She did her best to make sure they knew just how much she loved them.

Dellana was beyond excited when she got the news that she would be a grandma. Dallas and his girlfriend Josie welcomed their son Sage on September 28th, 2020.

Dellana was an extremely caring and kind person. She did her best to be a mother figure not only to her children but many young people who were struggling, as she knew what it was like and hoped to provide comfort where she could. Dellana had many friends who all have some cherished memory they will remember her for.

Dellana is survived by her children Dallas (Josie), Jamison, Amyah. Her first grandchild Sage Her siblings Laura Felix, Angela Ward, Kyle White Bear and Josie Ward. Her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and the many adopted family members she embraced throughout her life.

Dellana is proceeded by her Mother Lisa Felix, her father Mike Ward, her adopted father Troy Parshall, Grandparents Louis Jr. and Corinne (Jones) Felix.
