Linda Joan (DeMar) Weltzin was born December 5th 1944 to William and Edith (Goodfriend) DeMar. Linda was the baby of her family with an older brother Bill DeMar and an older sister Joan (DeMar) Yaddow. Linda was born in Watertown, New York. Linda’s dad was with the Core of Engineers, the family moved often. It was in North Dakota where Linda met Douglas Weltzin, they were married on October 10th 1963. Doug and Linda had 5 children: Jo-Nell Lynn (Andy) Anderson, Clayton Douglas (Kristie) Casanova, Lowell David (Rayna) Hamilton, Cynthia Lynn (Jack) Kimble and Lisa Lynn (Jeremiah) Cramer.

Their children gave them 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, with one more on the way.

Linda was a homemaker; she baked and cooked meals all from scratch. Linda cleaned homes; one home she was very proud of was to clean for Watne (the owners of Watne Realty). Linda worked at Dakota Inn, where she was a housekeeper in laundry and filled in as the Head Housekeeper. Linda retired in 2002 and became a stay-at-home grandma helping with all the Grandchildren that lived in Minot.

Linda loved to collect frogs and angel figurines. Linda had a love for plants and had an amazing green thumb. Linda talked on the phone to her sister-in-law, Joan DeMar, daily and one of her nephews. She loved to call her children to hear what was going on in their family.

Linda passed away Sunday April 27th 2025 at Trinity Hospital with her daughter Lisa at her side and all her children and some grandchildren were able to call and tell her they loved her over the phone before she passed away.
