Myrna Joan Cripe, 87, Bismarck, passed away August 27, 2024.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 10:30 am at the Bismarck Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 pm.

Myrna Joan Cripe was born May 22, 1937 in Calgary, Alberta Canada.  She was adopted by the Rev. Otto Fiesel and his wife Helen.  Myrna was raised in Sidney, MT where she resided until graduating high school.

Myrna moved with her family to Washburn, ND where she eventually met the love of her life, William (Bill) Cripe.  Myrna and Bill were married on October 26, 1958.

Myrna and Bill resided in Bismarck where they raised their two children, Jay and Jan.  Myrna worked for many years at the state capital until she retired in 1996.  Bill and Myrna spent the next twenty years wintering in Arizona and returning to Bismarck for the spring and summers.

Myrna is survived by her husband, William Eugene; son, William Jay (Kate) of Youngstown, OH; daughter Jan Loudenslager (Joel) of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren, Emily and Grace Cripe of Youngstown, OH, Joseph (Samantha) Loudenslager, Caleb (Aubrey) Loudenslager, and Noah (Maddie) Loudenslager of the greater Phoenix area; great-grandchild, Evelyn.

Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Otto and Helen Fiesel, and her sister, Marilyn Rothmann.
