Adolph Emter, 88, Bismarck, passed away August 26, 2024 at CHI St. Alexius Health. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 at 10:00am at Church of Corpus Christi. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck.
Adolph was born June 29, 1936 to Mike and Barbara (Doll) Emter in Glen Ullin, ND. He was united in marriage to Christine Sitter on May 28, 1960 in Dodge, ND and to this union their son, Jason, was born.
He worked for Northern Improvement doing construction work and was a heavy equipment operator until his retirement in 1999. Adolph was a life member of the Eagles Club. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Adolph is survived by his wife of 64 years, Christine; son, Jason Emter; sisters, Delphia Horner and Gladys Glaser and sister-in-law, Arlene Emter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Agnes Glaser, Perpetua Emter, Ardella Gehring and Rosie Hellman; brothers, Thomas Emter and Eugene Emter; sister-in-law, Marge Emter; brothers-in-law, Ed Glaser, Clarence Glaser, Leo Gehring, Joe Hellman and Jim Horner.
