David Decker

David Decker, 71, Minot died on Thursday, August 8, 2024 in a Minot hospital with his family at his side.

David Wayne Decker was born on May 7, 1953 in Urbana, Illinois to Lester and Martha (Siebert) Decker.  He was raised and educated in Rantoul, Illinois. As a young adult he began a lifelong career as a bus driver working for various tour companies. He moved to Minot in 2008 to be closer to family and was a part- time employee of P.T. I. for six years prior to retiring due to ill health.

David was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union and his hobbies included fishing, reading and watching NASCAR racing and the Indianapolis 500 race.

David is survived by his sister: Reva (Juan) Velazquezamaro of Minot, sister-in-law: Amy Decker and special friend: Kimberly Woodall.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Dorothy (William) Woods and Richard  Decker.
