Stacey Marie Duben, of Coleharbor, ND passed away at her home on August 8, 2024, after fighting a three-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
A service for Stacey will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 10:30 am at Augustana Lutheran Church, in Underwood. Burial to follow the meal at the Coleharbor cemetery.
Stacey was born on March 18, 1967, to John and Joyce (Metz) Hintz of Garrison, ND at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Minot, ND. She grew up outside of Garrison, ND on a farm where she grew her tolerance for animals. She graduated in ‘85 from Garrison HS with a great group that turned into lifelong friends. In HS she met her high school sweetheart John Duben of Coleharbor, ND.
The year of 89’ John and Stacey were wed in Garrison, ND. Where they lived in Coleharbor their whole marriage. While in Coleharbor Stacey was able to grow their house into, not just a place to live but a home.
Two Years later in October of ‘91 they welcomed their first born Benjamen Duben. They were to welcome their second child in the year of ‘97 Lindsey Duben. Stacey while having different jobs her whole life her number one job and role was growing her children to who they are today. Hard workers who follow their dreams.
Stacey is survived by her husband, John Duben of 35 years; son, Benjamen Duben (Rachel) Washburn, ND; daughter, Lindsey Duben (Kjerstie) Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Neal, Amelia, Ruby, Wrenley and Bailey; parents, John & Joyce Hintz; brother, Dave Hintz (Dawn); in-laws, Emery Duben (Cindy), Paul Duben (Ronda), Julie Bergstedt (Joel), Mary Wertz (Marcus), Anthony Duben (Erin).
Stacey was preceded in death by many loved ones, including her father-in-law Edward Duben, mother-in-law Annie Duben, sister-in-law Cindy Duben, and nephew Thomas Wertz.
