Shirley M. Scott (Fried) passed away at St. Gabriel’s Benedictine Skilled Nursing Center on May 28th, 2024. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, June 3rd, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, 615 E. Turnpike Ave, Bismarck, with Pastor Jonathan Walla officiating. Burial will be held at Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Driscoll.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Shirley was born on September 23rd, 1944, in Bismarck North Dakota to Reinhold and Elizabeth (Haid) Fried. Shirley graduated from Driscoll High School and Bismarck Junior College. She finished her degree in medical technology at St. Alexius Hospital where she would be employed for the rest of her professional career.
On July 1st, 1966, Shirley married Wesley (Wes) Scott in Bismarck, where they settled and raised their family. She had been a resident of St. Gabriel’s for the past 3 years.
Shirley is survived by her daughter Lisa Koch and grandchildren William and Addison Koch, all of Bismarck, her son Jon (Julie) Scott and grandchild Stella of Kalispell, Montana. She is also survived by her brother, Alvin of Driscoll, North Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, and other loving family members.
