Eleanor M. Neuhalfen, 95, Minot, died Saturday, May 25, 2024, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Eleanor was born July 8, 1928, in Anamoose, ND to Jacob and Lydia (Ammon) Oster. She was raised and educated in Anamoose, where she assisted her family with the operation of the farm in Balfour. She moved to Minot as a young adult and began working in food service at Langseth’s Café.
Eleanor was united in marriage to Lawrence W. Neuhalfen on August 15, 1948, in Balfour. They made their home in Minot and were blessed with four children.
Eleanor was a member of Faith Methodist Church, where she was active in circle, as a youth leader, the ladies auxiliary and various church activities. She also was a member of the group of postal carriers auxiliary.
Eleanor enjoyed bowling, baking, and cooking.
Eleanor is survived by her children Kathy Osness, Cyndee Lee, Rodney Neuhalfen, and Roland Neuhalfen, all of Minot; grandchildren Erin (Greg) Gullickson, Mitchell (Janet) Kraft, and April Ostergard; great-grandchildren McKayla, Chloe, Julia, Braydon, Shanna and Devon; sisters-in-law Angie Oster, Carrington and Carol Oster and Cassie Oster both of Minot along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence, grandson, Ryan Neuhalfen; great-grandchildren, Sawyer Gullickson and Maci Judd; son-in-law Richard Osness, sisters Janice Krenz (Ernie) and Delores Odell (Roger) and brothers Clifford (Mary), Arlo, Elroy, Duane, LeRoy (Sandy), Marvin and Victor, Ernest (Arlene), Jerry, Eugene and Orville (Sheila) Oster.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Visitation: Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Faith United Methodist Church in Minot.
