He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycle, fixing on vehicles, and spending time with family and friends. He was a very wise man and wasn’t afraid to give you his two cents. A lot of people came to him for advice. He paid attention to detail and would love to hit the brakes while riding his motorcycle to take a picture of a wild flower. When he would work on anything he never cut corners. He paid attention to every detail and made sure it was done right. When he retired he enjoyed his daily lunch with 2 beers with a side of clamato and a nap to follow. Then he may or may not go outside and work on his trees or in his shop.

Richard will be deeply missed by his wife, Sue; His daughter, Nicole (John) Kitzman; His son, David (Tammy) Horst; His grandchildren, Alyssa (Chance) Wilhelm, Jesse Horst, Zachary Horst (Lily), Anna Kitzman, Kane Horst;  and one Great-Grand-Child, Paisley Jo; His mother, Betty-Jean Mesling; His sister, Cherre (Mark) Allensworth; and numerous Aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
