Morris C. Fandrich, 77, Bismarck, died April 12, 2024.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 5-7pm, with a prayer service starting at 7pm at the Bismarck Funeral Home. The family welcomes guests to share their personal stories and memories of Morris following the prayer. Burial will be held Friday, May 10 at 9am at the ND Veterans Cemetery.
Morris was born in Harvey, ND on April 12, 1947 to Robert and Marie (Kolschefski) Fandrich. He attended and graduated from Harvey High School with the class of 1965. Morris attended BJC for two years and then graduated from UND in 1969. He served in the United States Army from 1969-1971 and was in Vietnam from 1970-1971. Morris worked for Kmart Corp for twenty-four years where he received numerous awards and promotions, leaving as a regional manager. He went on to work for the ND DOT for five years in the engineering and planning department and then went to work for FEMA for five years in their logistics section.
On July 01, 2011 he married Judy Schock in Mercer, ND. Together, they enjoyed their lake home at Brush Lake, where most of their time was spent. Morris was a member of the Eagles, life member of the Amvets and VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Nicole (Neal) Fandrich, Farmington MN; step children, Danise (Kent) Buhr, Hickson ND, Val (Tinna) Schock, Bagley MN, Shyla (John) Frusciante, Hickson ND; grandchildren, Taylor & Kiya Schock, Maycee & Karlee Halverson, Dylan & Sullivan Frusciante and many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Morris was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clifford; sister, Darnell Hager; parents in-law, Albert & Alvina Krein and brother-in-law, DuWayne Krein.
