Kurt Frank, 43, passed away Monday, April 1st, 2024.

A private family service will be held Friday, April 5th.

Kurt was born May 28th, 1980, in Bismarck, ND. He was raised and educated in Beulah and graduated from Beulah High School in 1998. Following high school, he attended college at NDSCS in Wahpeton. After earning his degree in diesel mechanics, Kurt then moved to Bismarck.

On June 5, 2004, he married his high school sweetheart, Katie. In 2007, they welcomed their first child, Emma. Following Emma, two more children; Devin and Teegan joined to complete the family.

Kurt worked for Falkirk Mine for 16 years. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking on his smoker (ribs were a favorite!), and most of all, spending time with his family.

Kurt leaves behind his loving wife and three beautiful children. His parents Mary Kay (Roger) Gazur, Jim (Arlene) Frank; brother Brian Frank and sister-in-law Kelly Ellwein; Nephews Aiden Frank and Carson Ellwein; father-in-law Duane Ellwein; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kurt was preceded in death by his grandparents, several aunts and uncles, and his mother-in-law, Jeri Ellwein.

A special thank you to his medical team at Sanford for the wonderful care Kurt received.
