Eddie Berg, 77, Minot, died Sunday, February 11, 2024, in his home.
Eddie Melvin Berg was born January 6, 1947, in Minot, North Dakota to Olaf and Lillian (Annell) Berg. He was raised in Minot and attended Minot Public Schools, graduating from Minot High School in 1966.
Eddie enlisted into the United States Army on October 14, 1966, and served until his honorable discharge in 1968. Following his military service, he lived in Minot and worked at various automobile service stations including Rice Oil Company.
Eddie married Sharon Lang on February 1, 1969, in Minot where they made their home on the outskirts of the Magic City. They raised their children there and shared their love for horses and dogs. Eddie was employed by the U.S. government at the Minot Air Force Base as a civil service employee working with petroleum liquid fuels. He retired in 2012.
Eddie enjoyed camping, fishing at Lake Sakakawea, and hunting, with family and friends, all of which created many treasured memories. He was a former member of the RRR Saddle Club of Ruthville. In addition to caring for his horses, Eddie enjoyed mowing the grass and tending to his property. He and Sharon hosted many family dinners, often meat and potatoes, and he was known for having bread and butter with every meal. He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to share in his life.
He is survived by his children: Shane (Stacy) Berg, Gillette, WY, Eric (Kristi) Berg, Minot, and Susie (Beau) Lundmark, Minot; grandchildren: Crystal (Travis) Payne, Kelsie (Scott) Richey, Colman, Sydney, and Annika Berg, and Xavier Lundmark; great grandchildren: TJ Payne, Aubire Lundmark, Eygon, Gibson, and Daedrick Richie; siblings: Geraldine Steadman, Olympia, WA, Ernie (Melody) Berg, Power, MT, Michael Berg, Sisters, OR, Valerie (Russ) Kranzel, Great Falls, MT; sisters-in-law: Maxine Berg, Longmont, CO, and Karen Berg, West Fargo; brother-in-law: Ronald ‘Robo’ Lang, Minot; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Sharon; parents; brothers: Marvin, Richard, Kenny, and infant brother: Allen.

Visitation: Thursday from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the Garrison Dam National Fish Hatchery.
