Shirley Fay Hagen, 68, Minot, formerly of Bismarck and Tioga, died Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at her home.
Shirley was born on May 25, 1955 in Kenmare, North Dakota, the daughter of Arthur and Lela (Grisham) Lundt. She was raised on the family farm near Palermo and educated at Palermo schools. She furthered her education at Wahpeton State School of Science, where she received a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Shirley was united in marriage to Charles Hagen on July 2, 1977 in Tioga, ND. They made their home in Tioga, where she spent over 30 years as a nurse caring for patients at the Tioga Medical Center. They moved to Bismarck in 2011 where she worked at Sanford until retiring in 2016. They then moved to Minot in 2017 to be closer to family. Charles died on October 11, 2019.
Shirley has been active in the Baptist Church throughout her life and has spent many years teaching Awana & Sunday School and attending Bible studies. In retirement, she enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities, and spending time with family, friends and neighbors.
Her loving family includes, daughters, Ashley (Eric) Kremer, Rugby; Nikki (Kelly) Hase, Harvey, ND; five grandchildren to include, Kale and Brinlee Hase; Lela, Eli and Wyatt Kremer; siblings, LaVonne Smith, Bismarck, Lori (Keith) Anhorn, Stanley and David (Nancy) Lundt, Bemidji, MN; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 42 years, Charles; and a brother-in-law, Dean Smith.

Interment: Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the ND Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan
Visitation: Monday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
