Eunice Ness Herrmann

Eunice (Ness) Herrmann, 77, Burlington, died Wednesday, February 7, 2024 in a Minot assisted living facility.

Eunice Yvonne Ness was born June 14, 1946, in Minot, ND to James and Marion (Olson) Ness. She spent the years of her youth in Ryder, ND. Eunice graduated from Ryder High School in 1964.

Eunice married Keith Wesley Herrmann on July 10, 1965. They lived for a time in Mohall and later moved to Garrison, where they were blessed with their son Travis.

Eunice worked as a typesetter at the McLean County Independent from 1968-1977 in addition to her household and motherly duties.

In 1978, they made the move to Burlington, ND. Eunice continued in her role as a mother and eventually grandmother. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, time spent in the garden or with a book and the challenge of putting a puzzle together.

Eunice was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Keith passed away on September 23, 2020.

She will be remembered for her love of all things pink with a sprinkle of purple mixed in, enjoying a delicious meal out with family, taking long drives around the country listening to old country music on the radio, having every little gadget tucked away just in case you might need it, loving to have a good visit with a cup of coffee, and being extremely proud of her son.

Eunice is survived by her son Travis (Sabrina) Herrmann, Minot, granddaughters Carson and Riley Held; brother Virgil (Cynthia) Ness, Ryder, ND and Tucson, AZ; brother-in-law Dan Cutcher, Millbury, Ohio along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Eunice was preceded in death by her husband Keith, sister Julie Cutcher, brother Lowell Ness, and her parents.

Memorial Gathering of Family & Friends: February 16th from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
