Violet enjoyed annual trips to Phoenix, Arizona in the winters, where she and the family would visit the Phoenix Zoo, sit in the sun, and spend some time shopping at Scottsdale Fashion Square.

Violet’s hobbies included reading the Bible, doing volunteer work, crafts – such as bead working, collecting salt and pepper shakers, baking & cooking, coffee dates with Leo at the Donut Hole, and Saturday shopping trips with her daughter. She enjoyed watching the Vikings games with Sheila, German food, and loved beating Leo at checkers.

Violet also enjoyed being a member of the Altar Guild at Faith Lutheran Church for many years.
