Rubert Huber, 94, of Bismarck, passed away on December 9, 2023 in a Bismarck Care Center.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church with Rev. Thomas Moldenhauer officiating.  Burial will be held at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Rubert was born on May 5, 1929 to Edward and Hertha (Heyne) Huber on the family farm in Zeeland, ND.  He joined the U. S. Army and served during the Korean War and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sargent in 1953.  Rubert married Lorina Pietz on June 9, 1957 and were married for 50 years.  He farmed all his life on the family farm near Zeeland.

Rubert loved fishing, puzzles, playing cards, find a word book and teasing his family and staff at the care center.

He is survived by his son Ronnie (Lynne) Huber, of Bismarck, daughter, Bonnie (Dan) Teske, of Fargo, granddaughter, Kaitlyn (Derrik) Simmons and great grandson Wil, Kylie (Jon) Henry and step great grandson Jon Robert and his special dog Brutus.  He is also survived by one sister, Lorene Bauer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, one brother and three sisters.
